Have been very busy at work. Have been learning a new technique. Keep getting extra projects. Which is good on one hand, on the other it sucks... lol
Not sure what im doing this weekend, but surely no work...

Sometimes i think i am in a time loop. Yesterday we all had to taste the soft chocolate chip cookies from the second contestant at work. I can tell you it was good. Today it was someones birthday and she had baked cupcakes for us. Tomorrow will be the third participant's chance to overwhelme us with his freshly baked cookies. How am i ever going to lose weight if this is what i get? Anyway, let's not digress from the time loop feeling: sleep- get up- bike thru cold- work- cookie- work- lunch- work-dinner-sleep- cold- work- cookie- work- lunch- work-dinner-sleep.
This week a college of mine got an award to go work in a befriended lab in Perth, Australia for 3 months. Very happy for her. Must be cool.
Another collegue just returned from holidays in Kenia and Tanzania.
Jealous? and yet... I wouldn't have it in me to live out such an exciting dreams. I am your typical couch potato, especially in the winter.
So.... What do i want?

Had a good weekend. Friday was a wee bit stressful, because my dad was picking up the car. My fglatmate called at work to tell me to call back my dad, because he wanted to come by earlier. So i had to hurry it up a bit. So he didn't stay long, gladly. And later that night T arrived. I saw him crossing the street, so i decided to post behind the front door and open it before he had the chance to ring the bell. Surprise. hmm, maybe you had to be there...
So we had a good nights sleep, lol, and went to work saturday. Luckily he had no problems with it. And he just spend some time behind the computer. On our way back we did some groceries and had a quiet evening with self-built-home-baked pizza. We watched a synchronized Bond movie on German channel, 'you only live twice'. Very cool to see a pre-'only-special-effects-with-lotsa-blood-is-cool'-movie, then went to bed.
Sunday we waited for my dad to come by and return the car. We watched the end of our holiday film again and had a laugh about the ducks-at-breakfast-table scene. And we went to the fleamarket with my flatmate. Put him on the 19:42 train and miss him still.

Damn, it is now 8:50 and i take it back. It is no longer pathetic snow. I doubt it will stay, but i am glad i am no longer biking, haha.

Oh boy, it is 8:18 in the morning, i am at work and i am watching snow... (quite pathetic snow, but it is frozen water, so therefore snow)

Well, cookie very nice, but heavy. Will have late lunch now :)

Today is the judging of the first candidate's freshly baked cookies. At work they decided to have a cookie baking contest. They put me on the list as well, but since so many collegues participate i won't have to bake till march. lol. So in an hour or so we have cookies on coffee break. All we have to do is fill out a judgeing form. hehe. Oh well, this is probably harmless to do with collegues.
So this weekend i'll see T again. I have to come to the lab to do bit of work on saturday, but he said he didn't mind. Maybe because i said i have to do it in the afternoon and not the morning, or maybe because i promised him to give kisses in between :)

Because my dad is coming to Holland for the weekend, he will be needing his car. I have to hand him his keys on friday. So T is coming over here this weekend. I obviously can't go to him with the car, and i can't get the train either because i don't know exactly what time my dad will be coming by. So yey!! Will see T. this weekend.
Everything else in my life is dull.
I wish myself and all readers a happy day.
Just realised its almost payday, I have to pay the creditcard company a bit (from holidays), bye bye paycheck!
Watched an hour of the holiday videotape last night... The grill scene made me smile

I have not much to tell yet. It's early, i watched the sky brighten. It's gonna be a beautiful day, weatherwise. I'd better get myself another coffee...

Ah, it's sunday and i haven't forgotten. I am at work.
After a rather stressful night of waiting by the phone to hear news about my flatmates lovelife continuing or halting, i woke up this morning to a cleaning frenzy. I cleared out almost all my university class material. Of course i kept the extremely expensive, but also very interesting books. Not that my rooms now look anything like acceptable, but i like the idea of alot of stuff gone. Somehow i didn't need proof of my university period anymore. I guess i moved on. And i'm pleased with my job. I used to be ashamed for stepping down on the academic ladder. Because people want to know why i didn't aim higher. I could be the researcher, not the research analyst. I kept my intern stuff, with the two scientific articles my work contributed to. And my yearbooks. I never was a front player.
Anyway...
I am very relieved my flatmate and her bf are talking in a civilised manner now. I can't be happy if the person i love dearly is not happy. So i hope they work it out. Will probably see her again tonight.
